My creations

TWO-COLORED TOP

Our make this top, I used two different fabrics: the pink is a small offcut too small to make a whole garment and the second, the rest of the sheet I used to make my plaid. You can find the pattern on: https://www.ohmotherminediy.com/

Step 1: The Cut

So all you have to do is cut your parts respecting the straight grain. For my part, I didn’t cut the strip because I had white strip already ready.

Step 2: Assembly

First, you will have to sew the chest dart at the front and then assemble the fronts and backs with respect for the notches. Second, you have to assemble the sides. I chose to make open seams, so I crushed them with iron and then I oversew on all my assemblages. If you wish you can oversew before assembling.

Step 3: the back slit

To be able to pass the top, we are obliged to leave an opening a top of the top, for this opening, it is possible to put a strip like an unbreakable pate. I chose for my top to do differently; I just folded my edges to 10mm like for the rest of my middle back sewing and I made a rib stitching to maintain them all.

Step 4: Strip

To make the straps and the edge finish at the neckline, you have to use stip. I put my stip on horseback because for the straps, you can’t sew the strip in the void.

Step 5: The Bottom

For the bottom of the top, you can either make a hem or an oversew fold or tuck. Personally, for a matter of length saving, I chose to make a oversew fold.
